CPI decide sugerir indiciamento de Bolsonaro por charlatanismo e curandeirismo
A CPI da Covid-19 decidiu nesta quarta (11) que vai sugerir o indiciamento do presidente Jair Bolsonaro pelos crimes de curandeirismo, charlatanismo, de epidemia e de publicidade enganosa, entre outros.
Somados, eles podem resultar em uma pena máxima superior a 18 anos de prisão.
A medida foi discutida nesta quarta (11) entre o presidente da comissão, senador Omar Aziz (PSD-AM), o vice-presidente, Randolfe Rodrigues, e o relator, Renan Calheiros (MDB-AL). Um relatório interno detalhado já foi feito elencando os crimes e suas penas.
Decisão da CPI de indiciar Bolsonaro
De acordo com Renan Calheiros, a decisão foi tomada depois da primeira parte do depoimento do diretor da farmacêutica Vitamedic, Jailton Barbosa, em que ficou claro que a empresa patrocinou a publicidade do tratamento precoce e do kit covid, que incluía a ivermectina, como se ele tivesse efeito contra a Covid-19, o que não é verdadeiro.
A Vitamedic, por exemplo, multiplicou as suas vendas durante a pandemia, mesmo após haver comprovação científica de que o medicamento não é eficaz no tratamento da Covid-19.
O salto na venda de ivermectina chegou a 1.105%.
Além disso, destinou R$ 717 mil para financiar manifestos em defesa do chamado tratamento precoce, feitos pela organização Médicos pela Vida.
Em seu depoimento, Jailton Barbosa reconheceu que a desenvolvedora do medicamento, a americana Merck, publicou estudo no qual atesta que a ivermectina não é eficaz para o tratamento da Covid-19.
O enquadramento do presidente em artigos do Código Penal por causa da ivermectina não exclui a possibilidade de que ele seja apontado como responsável por outros crimes até o fim dos trabalhos da comissão.
